In the desert

Exploring the Desert. Here we learn about an ancient Ecosystem and how it has changed over millions of years. We see a Coral Reef in the middle of the desert. The sand is oily from the Plankton. Among fossils of starfish, we find the spine and a rib cage of a wale. How long was this ago, that an ocean was vitally experiencing itself here. How long, since this desert was the bottom of an ocean? We learn as we experience the mystery and magic of life.

In the evening we cook on fire and talk about ways of how we can integrate, what we have learned into living being for a sustainable and truly intelligent future. Of course the night is spent under the stars.

This is what we call true learning.

Oasis Farming

We at Kokiri love food! All aspects of it! The Lifeforce it has, the Love when cooking it, the sharing of it, the taste! But when food is not gathered holistically, we see major challenges. One of the first questions we ask: Where did the food come from? For what purpose is it grown? Is it sustainable for the Earth? Does it make the body feel healthy, happy and whole?

Kokiri projects certainly are not perfect and we do minimally harm the earth unconsciously in our projects, but this is why we are students! Students of Life – with nature and the children of tomorrow foremost at heart. At Kokiri everyone who shares these values are welcome, whether you are a water engineer, musician or simply seekers looking to get their hands into the dirt…

Near the Jungle (India)

Here we learn from our friends who are of indigenous descent the many ways of nature. Together we learn from nature, archive knowledge of the elders and walk forward with faith to a sustainable future. We learn from eachother.
