Jakob, Construction and Engineering

Spending much of his time in Berlin today, Jakob lived in several different
places and got to see much of Germany and Europe. His eagerness to explore the diversity of human cultures and learn about different ways of living led him to many different directions. Experiences gained through journeys to places distinct from his origin, had a strong impact on his personality as well as on his professional development.

With his studies in civil engineering and working for a carpentry with focus on the traditional and sustainable refurbishment of the houses of Berlin, he combines craftsmanship with engineering tasks.

Interested in gaining further knowledge about natural building techniques and alternative ways of living, Jakob enjoys participating in sustainable projects. He engaged himself in two projects dealing with bamboo construction, one in line with his master thesis in Guatemala and one in Colombia.

Sangita, Archivist of Indigenous Knowledge

Sangita Hrangkhawl, also know as Sangi, has completed her Masters with History from Tripura University, taking sociology and philosophy as electives during her bachelor years. She wishes to use her Subject as a platform to understand the history of her roots and preserve it for the future generations.

Growing up in a village surrounded by green vegetation, she feels connected to nature. She uses her leisure time to interview the elders from her village. Every once in a while she would visit the jungle to generate her spiritual energy. She also has great enthusiasm for arts and is a self-trained dancer. She finds peace in dance and that helps her to thrive for the future. She wants to inspire the youth to follow their hearts and be kind to nature along the way.
